This Sunday is Mother’s Day – a day to celebrate and show our appreciation for moms (and grammys!) everywhere!
It’s easy to make Mom feel super important and extremely loved on her special day.
Here are a few extra-easy ideas to show her just how much she means:
Make her a homemade card. It doesn’t have to be fancy – just a few thoughts on what makes her so great. Tip: Cut out pretty pictures from an old magazine or newspaper (make sure Mom’s finished reading them first!) along with some fancy “decorations” you can find for free (like a pretty leaf from your yard, a button or some scraps of material) and glue them onto the card, making it your own unique masterpiece.
Get cleaning. We know, we know…it’s not fun. But it’s easy to do and will make Mom smile from ear to ear! Tip: Pick a room (like your bedroom) and start by getting rid of all the excess clutter — like those old toys you don’t play with anymore. Put on your favorite music, then sing and dance while you make the mess disappear! Don’t forget to make your bed and dust the dresser! Ask Mom to cover her eyes before “the big reveal” – TA-DA! Instant Happy Mom!
Think like a mom. Moms have to be super organized to get everything done (it’s their own Super Rootability!), so on Mother’s Day, give Mom a break. Tip: Start by surprising her with a delicious breakfast (like fresh fruit and oatmeal or these scrumptious nutty overnight oats). Finished eating? Bring the dishes to the sink and start washing. Pack your lunch for the next day to let Mom get a few extra minutes of sleep. And don’t forget to give her extra hugs and kisses throughout the day…YOU are her favorite gift of all!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the special moms and grammys out there! Enjoy your day!
